Studio Canon
Umbra Studio's running second-opinion library on the agentic-AI papers our prospects are reading. Every entry is absorbed against the same template — validation, gaps, citable stats, asset queue — so positioning, deck copy, and outreach stay anchored in what the analysts actually claim. Five altitudes covered: foundation, tactical, functional, transformational, venture.
Four papers, four altitudes.
Each card is a fast read of one paper — what we learned, the citable cifras, and the gaps it surfaced for Studio's framework. Synthesis MD and source PDF linked at the bottom. Read in order: foundation → tactical → functional → transformational.
Every citable cifra, by altitude.
15 stats grouped by altitude — one bucket per entry. Filter by audience to see the stats that land for that listener. Two stats per email or slide is the rule; three reads as inflated.
What the canon proposes editing.
Each row references an asset that exists in the Studio Library. The change column describes the canon's recommended edit; the status reflects whether that edit has been applied yet. Click any asset name to open it in the library.
Reading note. "Proposed" does not mean missing — every referenced asset is live in the library at umbra.press/studio-library.html. The canon proposes specific additions to those assets the next time they're revised. "Applied" means the canon's edit has landed in the live asset.
Drafts awaiting validation.
These primitives surfaced from the canon but haven't graduated to @umbra/* status. Each links to the synthesis section that proposed it, so you can review the rationale before validating. Promote to substrate only when a real engagement validates the shape.
The decision Studio carries forward.
The canon raised one strategic positioning question; it has been answered. This section keeps the answer visible so future-Abe and future-Claude don't drift.
A working surface, not an archive.
Before any outbound
Skim the entry that matches the audience altitude. Pull two stats — never more. Use the Quote Bank in the synthesis doc, not the section header copy.
Don't mix altitudes
Foundation stats (14–15) for cross-functional CEO/founder. Manifesto stats (9–13) for board/CFO/PE-CEO. Marketing-Workflow stats (3–8) for CMO/Growth. Six Lessons stats (1–2) across. Hard rule: never combine #7 and #14 — same finding observed at different altitudes.
When a new paper drops
Absorb as the next numbered entry. Same template — validation, gaps, stats, asset queue. Archive the source PDF as NN-source.pdf alongside the synthesis.
Patterns stay draft
A candidate pattern only graduates to @umbra/substrate after a real engagement validates it. The library is the asset; aspirational patterns dilute it.
