Operator knowledge, packaged as method.
Not strategy decks. Not pilot programs.
Working systems for the agentic era.
Umbra Studio is a workflow redesign practice for the agentic era. We help mid-market and enterprise organizations rebuild their highest-friction workflows with intelligence at the core — humans above the loop, governance they can trust. Fixed-fee, outcome-tied engagements called Lighthouse Sprints take a single workflow from discovery through handoff in 6 to 10 weeks.
"We didn't learn this from a slide deck. We run it. Every pattern we sell has been stress-tested on ourselves."
Umbra Group operates its own agentic businesses: Indietheka (160+ agent invocations per week), Transit (automated press bureau), Orbit (fan communities), Radiohead Community (281K followers). Umbra Studio packages that operator knowledge into a repeatable method. We are not an AI consultancy. We are operators who consult.
Every pattern comes from production. We run agents at scale across our own properties before we sell the method to anyone else.
One workflow, rebuilt completely, in 6–10 weeks. Fixed fee. Outcome-tied. The client leaves with a working system, not a strategy document.
Humans above the loop, not in the loop. Every agent system includes an approval layer, audit trail, and clear escalation paths.
The Studio mark inherits the parent's eclipse geometry but swaps the corona from Signal Blue (#4D9EFF) to Signal Green (#4DFF7A). Same precision diagram. Same measurement ticks. Different wavelength — identifying this as Studio, not parent. The eclipse lineage is preserved; the spectral shift is the differentiator.
Studio inherits the parent's surface palette (Void through Ghost) and typography colors (Corona, Stellar, Dim) without modification. The only change is the accent: Signal Green replaces Signal Blue as the primary interactive and highlight color. Parent blue may appear in co-branded contexts but never competes with green on a Studio surface.
On Studio surfaces, Signal Green is the sole accent. Parent Signal Blue may appear only in navigation elements that link back to the parent site (e.g., the "Umbra Group" wordmark in the nav) or in co-branded footer lockups. It never appears in CTAs, labels, tags, stat numbers, or any interactive element on a Studio page.
Studio inherits the parent's IBM Plex type stack without modification. The three roles — Display (Serif), UI/Body (Sans), and Mono — are identical. The only typographic distinction is content: Studio specimens use Studio-specific language, and label accents render in Signal Green rather than Signal Blue.

We help mid-market and enterprise organizations rebuild their highest-friction workflows with intelligence at the core. Every engagement follows the Lighthouse Sprint method: Discovery, Redesign, Build, Handoff. You leave with a working system and a team that knows how to run it.
▸ LIGHTHOUSE SPRINT / 4 STAGES / 6–10 WEEKS
01 DISCOVERY — Stopwatch the current workflow
02 REDESIGN — Intelligence at the core
03 BUILD — Ship into production
04 HANDOFF — Train the team, transfer the system
Studio inherits the parent's graticule grid and spectral band motifs. It extends the system with a Lighthouse motif — a vertical signal beam — representing the Lighthouse Sprint's focused, singular intervention.
Components follow the parent system's structure (IBM Plex type stack, void-background aesthetic, 1px ghost borders) with Signal Green replacing Signal Blue in all accent positions. No new component shapes are introduced — only the color channel changes.
We help organizations rebuild their highest-friction workflows from the ground up — with agents at the core, humans above the loop, and governance you can trust.
Daily-publishing indie music outlet running 160+ agent invocations per week across editorial, distribution, and social.
Automated press and promotion bureau for independent artists. Pitches, press kits, and playlist outreach — agent-driven end to end.
281K-follower Instagram community with agent-assisted content scheduling, caption drafting, and engagement analysis.
The four-stage diagram is a core Studio asset. It should appear on every surface where the method is described.
Stopwatch the workflow. Quantify every bottleneck. Map the human-agent boundary.
Intelligence at the core. Humans above the loop. Governance wrapper for trust.
Ship into production. Not a prototype, not a proof of concept. A working system.
Train the team. Transfer governance. Document reusable agent components.
Studio's voice is the voice of someone who runs the thing they're selling. Measured. First-person plural. Specific where others are vague. It avoids the vocabulary of hype and defaults to the vocabulary of operations. Every claim should be verifiable. Every metaphor should be earned.
▸ Voice Principles
We are operators first.
We run agents in production. We sell the patterns that survived. This is not theoretical; it's operational.
Specifics, not superlatives.
Replace "industry-leading" with a number. Replace "innovative" with a description of what we actually built.
Respect the reader's intelligence.
Our buyer is a mid-market ops leader. They know their domain. We explain what we do, not what AI is.
Short sentences. Active voice.
We build things. We ship them. We hand them over. The subject acts. No passive constructions where active ones work.
